Acupuncture in the U.S.
In the US acupuncture has been gaining acceptance as an effective form of medical treatment. In1997, the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Consensus on Acupuncture states that clinical experience, supported by research data, suggests “acupuncture may be a reasonable option for a number of clinical conditions.”
Safety:
Acupuncture and Chinese Herbology are safe medical procedures and are well known for their efficacy and lack of side-effects when administered by a qualified practitioner.

Certification, Licensing, Registration:
Renea L. Barrett holds a Masters Degree in Oriental Medicine which includes an externship in Guanzhou, China. She is a certified by the National Commission for the Certification of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) as a Diplomat in Acupuncture and a certified Diplomat in Chinese Herbology.
Renea has passed all the national board exams required for
not only acupuncture, but Chinese Herbology as well. A unique distinction
among many current certified acupuncturists.
