Smoking Cessation

CigaretteSoft Touch Acupuncture is now offering a new smoking cessation that combines the Traditional Chinese Medicine auricular (ear) acupuncture points with digital technology to help curb cigarette cravings.

The digital signals address the 20 cigarette chemicals  as well as the four sugars that are used in the curing of tobacco leaves: cane sugar, beet sugar, corn sugar and maltose.

We have been using the digital signals to help people with allergies with the Advanced Allergy Therapeutics (AAT) system.   We have noticed that often people will crave what they are sensitive/allergic to.  After being treated for the specific craving using the AAT system, the person is more neutral about the item that they previously craved.

The AAT system has digital signals for emotions such as: anxiety, loss of control. We have been adding those digital signals with the cigarette chemical signals for the treatments.

As a former smoker herself, Renea understands the strength of the withdrawal symptoms. Her treatments will include some handouts on acupressure points to use at home, and some guidelines for the common triggers faced by smokers.

By far the most effective treatment is the combination of the auricular (ear) with mild electric stimulation, combined with the digital signals.  As always, in any smoking cessation program , the participant has to be determined to quit.  To enhance the effect of the digital signals, it is important that the participant not have a cigarette for two hours before the treatment.

The fee for the smoking cessation treatment is $100 for the first treatment which includes a Chinese herbal tea to stop cravings, a Chinese special blood sugar stabilizing tea packets, Tea Tree Oil or Cinnamon chewing sticks (great for a substitute while driving) as well as acupressure points and behavioral change suggestions. Succeeding treatments are $50 thereafter.  With a strong resolve to quit, you may only need one treatment:  that is why Renea doesn’t offer packages. The first two weeks are the most important, it is recommended to schedule 2-3 times per week, if needed. At over $3 for a pack of cigarettes, soon to be at least $4 with the new cigarette tax taking effect April 1, there is no better time to take control of your health.
